Editorial

The editorial board of At-tadwin journal is pleased to present to its faithful readers and esteemed researchers this new issue, featuring a dedicated, in-depth dossier that reads and re-reads the sociological and intellectual achievements of the French scholar Pierre Bourdieu. This issue focuses particularly on his critical perspective on mechanisms of domination, symbolic production, and the sociology of education and labor, alongside the intersections of his historical and field experiences with the Algerian context.

The papers in this issue, published in both Arabic and French, offer diverse perspectives and intellectual approaches. They range from studies examining the mechanisms of capitalist domination, symbolic production, and the role of the elite, authority, and the press in shaping the symbolic market, to those focusing on Algerian workers and the social and educational reality from a Bourdieusian perspective. Furthermore, the study section engages with intellectual debates and political critique by revisiting the debate between Pierre Bourdieu and Jacques Rancière.

Beyond the main dossier, the issue extends through the "Fields of Research" section to address communication and culture in Algerian society, the social structures of the economy, and urbanization and social bonds. We conclude this issue with an insightful intellectual interview on the contemporary relevance and prospects of Marxist thought, titled "A Marxism Still Possible!" with philosopher André Tosel.

We hope this issue serves as a valuable academic contribution to the intellectual scene and opens new horizons for research and debate.
