Satisfaction with specialization and its relationship to the level of ambition among university students (A field study at Kasdi Merbah University - Ouargla)

Abstract

The current study seeks to reveal the relationship between satisfaction with the major and the level of ambition among university students, and the extent of its effect the interaction of each variable: gender: (male-female) and age: (less than 20 years) (21-25 years) (more than 25 years), and to delve into this study relied on the descriptive correlative approach appropriate to this approach, and the study hypotheses were tested. Relying on the following statistical methods: Pearson correlation coefficient: to know the relationship between the two variables: satisfaction with specialization and the level of ambition among university students, and this is in relation to the first hypothesis of the current study, the “z” test: to detect the significance of differences between university students according to gender: (male-female) and age: (less than 20 years) (21-25 years) (more than 25 years) In the correlation between the measure of satisfaction with specialization and the level of ambition, and this is in relation to the second and third hypotheses of the study The current study sample consisted of: (90) male and female students from the university, and the study sample was chosen randomly. Simple, and the field application was done at the University of Kasdi Merbah - Ouargla (Algeria), and the data collection was relied on the two tools The following two: the measure of “satisfaction with the specialization”; Designed by: “Kannon Hanan”, Year: 2018, “Level of Ambition” scale.
