National Identity values in Algerian Schools Between Legal Reference and Effective Translation into Official Educational Links
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aims to demonstrate the most important national values included in the program based on the basic references that define the aims and objectives of the Algerian school, derived mainly from the Constitution and inspired by the philosophy and culture of the society. These terms of reference are mainly the National Education Directive Law 08/04 of January 23, 2008, the General Curriculum Reference for 2009 and the Methodological Guide to Curriculum Development for 2009. The study found that primary school curricula contained the most important values and attitudes of a national and global dimension, reflecting the authenticity of the Algerian Arab Muslim citizen proud of his civilization and history. It promotes
Its civilized belonging in its global dimension. However, the actual translation of these values in the textbook does not reflect the true image of these values and does not achieve what they are intended for.
