The Concept of Ein Sof and Sefirot An Analytical Study of the Concept of Creation in Kabbalah
Main Article Content
Abstract
The light in the Kabbalistic literature is an essential subject of creation, and it is essential in the process of creation, considering the infinite Creator was called by Kabbalistic studies (Ein sof- אין סופ), Ein sof is an infinite light emanate ten lights, called (Seferot-סיפירות), encompassing all the worlds. There are four worlds called (אביע ABYA).
Ein sof in Kabbalah is the infinite, the only creator, from whom sephirot comes out, and it is ten in number in terms of division, but it has no ending in what it carries of emanations within it. They are also interconnected with each other, as the light is transmitted among all of them from the beginning to the end and from the end to the end. The worlds that are included in the method of issuing the sephirot is about where it will be done according to two methods in Kabbalah. The first is through a specific process called (emanation - אצילות), where the lights were overflow to the first light, that is the first sefirot (Keter) and then, moves to the rest of the sefirot. And the second method appeared later in Lurian Kabbalah, which is (the contraction- צמצום), where he reduces, he will light because he occupies all the places in order to leave space for the appearance of Sefirot, the first of which is the primordial light (אדם קדמון Adam Kadmon).
Search in the nature of the relationship between Ein Sof and Seferot leads us into two considerations: The first: the unity of Ain Sof and Seferot, and they have an essence; The second: It has two opinions: 1. Sefirot is the utensils and the tools of creation, 2. Sefirot is an aspect of the infinite, but it does not represent his essence.
