The Modernist Project in Contemporary Arab Education A Reading from Taha Hussein's Perspective

Abstract
In this paper, I decided to research contemporary Arab education, from the perspective of one of the most important Arab thinkers who represent the new generation regarding modernity and its connection to it, which is the Egyptian thinker and writer Taha Hussein. It was not necessary to review all of his intellectual achievements, but rather I focused on the educational proposal that he presents. , especially through his book The Future of Culture in Egypt, when he tried to present his own vision of education, Consequently, a new trend in culture, given the traditional situation that continued to frame the Arab school, compared to the breakthrough that the West witnessed in all aspects, based on a new modernist philosophy, especially since Taha Hussein lived the Arab situation and was influenced by European modernity.
