الملخص

This paper examines two crucial advancements in discourse analysis: disciplinary specialization and transdisciplinary integration. Both initiatives have contributed to the emergence of Discourse Studies as a distinct field of inquiry. Although Discourse Analysis has been a recognized field since the 1970s, mostly in France and the United Kingdom, Discourse Studies remains an evolving and often ambiguous subject, especially in Algeria. This study employs a theoretical framework to examine the progression of Discourse Studies. This inquiry primarily focuses on how interdisciplinary methods might address the social, political, and epistemological dimensions of speech. This study aims to promote a more critical and thorough approach to discourse analysis within a multidisciplinary framework, connecting the language sciences, social sciences, and humanities. This is achieved via a rigorous analysis of the theoretical frameworks established by poststructuralist theorists like Foucault and Pêcheux, with the integration of findings from contemporary studies. The theoretical framework enables the examination of discourse via many disciplinary lenses, while assessing the current state of discourse studies in Algeria.
