The concept of universality is one of the most significant topics that has occupied a substantial space in philosophical thought, particularly within the postmodern context, and especially in the contemporary Western current. This has led to fundamental transformations in philosophical thought not only in Western philosophy but also within Arab-Islamic philosophy. The latter strives to elevate itself to the level of this intellectual framework and seeks to engage with the issues of the present era, rather than becoming mired in binary oppositions such as the old versus the modern. Algerian philosophy, in particular, stands out as one of the most notable Arab philosophies that have attempted to establish a philosophy of the present by addressing the question of universality. One of the main objectives outlined in this research paper is to highlight the revival and renewal of universality within Algerian philosophical studies. This involves exploring the concept of universality and comparing it with other philosophical traditions, particularly through engagement with contemporary philosophies. Furthermore, the paper seeks to emphasize that Algerian philosophy is a living and dynamic philosophy, capable of overcoming traditional dualisms despite challenging circumstances. The methodology employed predominantly revolves around analysis, complemented by a comparative intellectual approach that juxtaposes Algerian philosophers with their Western counterparts.
