Abstract
The current research aimed to discover the prevalence of irrational thoughts in a sample of high school students, and then to test the significance of gender differences. The sample of the study was 414 high school students. ,138 are studying in the state of Chlef, They studied in the state of Oran where the results showed that the most common irrational ideas among the students were respectively: ((first idea and its text `` The person must be loved or accepted by each member of his local environment. '', idea 4 `` It is a terrible calamity that things do not happen as the individual wishes ,idea 2 and its text: "The individual must be perfect and efficient for him to be of value.", idea 3 `` Some people are bad and bad and have a degree of wickedness and wickedness and therefore need to be blamed and punished, idea 11, And the two ideas 12. And idea 7 in the same order 6, 5, 13, 10, The last place idea 8. The results also showed differences between gender and the disclosure of women
