The Youth and Cultural Practices in the City Case Study on the Youth of the City of Oran

Abstract
The main objective of the study is to examine the cultural practices of the youth in the city, since the latter are subject to logics of possession and action that are related to social changes and transformations in society, as represented in the form of consumption activities related to cultural life that the youth carry out in their free time in the city. We observed different aspects of this phenomenon, analyzed them and linked the relationship between them and the new cultural globalization. The study provided us with field results represented by the significant impact of modern communication technologies on the cultural practices of the youth that present us with different individual cultural behaviors, such as reading sports and cultural magazines, exercising and relaxing through sports and visiting museums, public libraries and cinemas in the city.
