The position of Mathematics and logic in the Cartesian Rationalist Project

Abstract
The goal of researching the status of logic and mathematics in Cartesian rationalism is to reveal Cartesian contributions to renewing the structure of philosophical thought by placing it on new foundations and with a new methodology, uniting metaphysics, which represents the roots of science, mathematics, which is the language of science, and logic, which is the methodology of science. Undoubtedly, demonstrating the structure of this triadic relationship and its epistemological and logical limitations necessitated following a critical analytical approach to discover the status of mathematical thinking in renewing philosophical and logical thought, highlighting the limitations of this conception by showing how Descartes justified mathematical axioms.
