Gender and Violence against Women in Algerian Society

Abstract
The subject of the study is the phenomenon of violence against women and its relationship to gender, including The structure of society is based on the classification of femininity (women) and masculine (men) so as to be clarified through their historically and socially unequal relationship, and it appears in many forms, whether physical or verbal, Economic or social ... etc. All these forms reflect the gender culture of Algerian society based on gender stereotyping, gender inequality and gender-based treatment; violence against women is phenomenon and issues contemporary However, the roots connected to traditional Algerian society.
