Social perceptions of the Corona virus Field study of a sample of users of the social networking site Facebook

Abstract

We aim through this field research to exam the perceptions of a sample of Algerian society individuals about the pandemic of Covid. in terms of their knowledge, their opinions and their interaction with the social environment; as well their realization of the trends and positions they take regarding the way they deal with the spread of the epidemic. After field investigations, we came to the conclusion that there is a richness of knowledge about the virus; furthermore, social perceptions of the virus were formed by the knowledge provided by media, we also found that perceptions were positive; and that the majority are not afraid of its spread, nor conscious to be infected.
