Submission Gudelines
Welcome to the Journal of Law, Society, and Authority (JLSA) submission guidelines. We invite authors to submit original, unpublished research papers that contribute to the field of law and political science. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth and efficient submission process.
Submission Process
All submissions must be made through our ASJP Platform. Please visit our ASJP Platform to learn more about the journal. To upload your manuscript and track its progress, please use our Submission Portal.
General Submission Requirements
- Formatting Standards
- File Type: Submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
- Font and Size: Use Times New Roman, size 12 for the main text, and size 14 for headings.
- Line Spacing: Set line spacing to 1.
- Margins: Ensure 1.5 cm margins on all sides.
- Paper Dimensions: The paper should be formatted to 15.5 cm x 23.5 cm.
- Title and Author Information
- Title: The title should be concise and descriptive, formatted in Times New Roman, size 14.
- Author(s): Full names of all authors, including their institutional affiliations and countries.
- Example:
- 1st Author: Full Name, Institution, Country
- 2nd Author: Full Name, Institution, Country
- Example:
- Abstract
- Length: 200-300 words.
- Content: The abstract must include:
- Brief introduction
- Study objectives
- Research methodology
- Key results
- Discussion and conclusions
- Recommendations (if any)
- Formatting: Use Times New Roman, size 11.
- Keywords
- Provide up to 5 keywords, separated by semi-colons (;).
- Article Structure
- Introduction: The introduction should not exceed 3 pages and not be less than 2 pages. It must include:
- A preamble to the subject
- The problem statement
- Hypotheses
- Objectives of the research
- Methodology used
- Main Body:
- Headings: Bold and in Times New Roman, size 14.
- Subheadings: Bold and in Times New Roman, size 12.
- Each section should be clearly defined with appropriate headings and subheadings.
- Tables and Figures:
- Tables: Numbered consecutively, with titles above the table.
- Figures: Numbered consecutively, with titles below the figure.
- Source: Provide the source of data where applicable.
- Introduction: The introduction should not exceed 3 pages and not be less than 2 pages. It must include:
- Conclusion
- Summarize the main findings and their implications.
- Should be at least one full page.
- Citations and References
- The journal follows the Chicago Manual of Style for citations and references. Authors are required to use the Notes and Bibliography system. Below are some examples:
- Books:
- Footnote: John Smith, Title of the Book (City: Publisher, Year), page number.
- Bibliography: Smith, John. Title of the Book. City: Publisher, Year.
- Journal Articles:
- Footnote: John Smith, "Title of the Article," Title of the Journal 10, no. 2 (Year): 123-145.
- Bibliography: Smith, John. "Title of the Article." Title of the Journal 10, no. 2 (Year): 123-145.
- Book Chapters:
- Footnote: John Smith, "Title of the Chapter," in Title of the Book, ed. Editor Name (City: Publisher, Year), page number.
- Bibliography: Smith, John. "Title of the Chapter." In Title of the Book, edited by Editor Name, page range. City: Publisher, Year.
- Online Sources:
- Footnote: John Smith, "Title of the Webpage," Website Name, Month Day, Year, URL.
- Bibliography: Smith, John. "Title of the Webpage." Website Name, Month Day, Year. URL.
- Books:
- The journal follows the Chicago Manual of Style for citations and references. Authors are required to use the Notes and Bibliography system. Below are some examples:
Submission Process
- Online Submission: Submit manuscripts through our online submission system at Submission Portal.
- Review Process: All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.
- Revision and Resubmission: Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ feedback.
