Repository Policy
The Journal of Law, Society, and Authority allows and encourages authors to deposit versions of their published work in institutional or other repositories of their choice, in compliance with the journal’s licensing terms.
Where Can Authors Deposit Their Work?
Authors may archive their articles in:
- Institutional repositories (e.g., university or research institution archives)
- Subject-based repositories (e.g., legal or political science repositories)
- Personal websites or professional networking platforms (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)
- National and international open-access repositories
Versions Allowed for Deposit
Authors can deposit the following versions of their work:
- Submitted Manuscript (Preprint): Before peer review
- Accepted Manuscript (Postprint): After peer review but before final typesetting
- Published Version (Version of Record): The final published article (with proper citation and journal attribution)
Licensing and Compliance
Deposited versions must adhere to the selected journal-approved Creative Commons license:
- Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)
- Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0)
