Retraction Policy
Commitment to Accuracy and Integrity
At the Journal of Law, Society, and Authority (JLSA), we are committed to upholding the highest standards of accuracy and integrity in all published work. We understand that errors can occur and are dedicated to addressing any issues promptly and transparently. Our retraction policy ensures that any genuine errors or issues in published articles are managed effectively and ethically.
Errata and Corrections
We provide clear guidelines for handling errata, corrections, and updates to published articles. When errors are identified—whether by readers, authors, or editors—that do not fundamentally invalidate the work, we pledge to correct these as soon as possible. Corrections will be made promptly to ensure the published work reflects accurate information. Each paper that is subject to corrections will have a time stamp indicating when the correction was made.
Retraction of Articles
In cases where the errors are substantial and render the work invalid or if there are issues that compromise the validity of the research, the editor will proceed with a retraction. The retraction will be accompanied by a detailed explanation of the reason for the retraction to provide transparency and maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
Procedure for Retraction
- Identification of Issues: Errors or issues are identified through feedback from readers, authors, or editors.
- Assessment: The editor assesses the nature and severity of the issue to determine whether a correction or retraction is warranted.
- Correction: If the issue does not invalidate the work, a correction or erratum will be issued with a clear time stamp.
- Retraction: If the errors are substantial, a retraction notice will be published with a detailed explanation.
