Journal of Law, Society, and Authority is a peer-reviewed academic journal. Published by the Research Unit: State & Society at the University of Oran 2 Mohamed Ben Ahmed, Algeria, the journal provides a scholarly forum for original research and critical inquiry across law, political science, international relations, and related fields.

The journal welcomes original and rigorous scholarly contributions addressing contemporary legal, political, institutional, and societal issues, with particular attention to the relationships between legal frameworks, political authority, governance, and social dynamics. It encourages interdisciplinary and comparative approaches and seeks to contribute to scholarly dialogue across different academic traditions and geographical contexts.

Published biannually, the journal accepts contributions in English, French, and Arabic. All manuscripts are subject to an initial editorial assessment and a double-blind peer-review process conducted in accordance with established principles of academic integrity, editorial independence, confidentiality, and publication ethics.

The journal is committed to open and accessible scholarly communication. It provides full open access to its published content and operates without submission fees or article processing charges (APCs).
