Abstract

Recent trends in the practices of international human rights bodies confirm that a State is no longer immune from interference in its human rights affairs that can be politically exploited to raise the problem of minorities. The campaign launched to embarrass Algeria internationally, since the beginning of 2017, can be read in the main context of attempting to interfere in its affairs under the pretext of "protecting the rights of Ahmadis". This paper addresses the dimensions of this intervention from the perspective of international human rights law, without neglecting the fundamental aspect of the political employment of human rights.
