Short biography

Ouahmiche Ghania is a full Professor of Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, and Language Sciences at University of Oran 2, in the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Department of English. She holds two Ph. Ds—one in Sociolinguistics and Language Planning and another in French Didactics and Language Sciences—and a Licence in Theology and Religious Studies. With over 26 years of experience teaching English at University of Oran, she began her academic career in 1998 as a part-time instructor in the Department of English.
Prof Ghania Ouahmiche has held several roles, including Editor-in-Chief of Traduction et Langues, the Journal of Translation and Languages TRANSLANG, since 2015, Head of Translation and Methodology Laboratory TRANSMED since 2021, and Head of the Master's Program in ESP and Specialized Discourses. In November 2024, she was appointed Chair of the Commission of Visibility and Ranking at University of Oran 2.
Her research interests cover a range of fields within her areas of expertise, including English for Specific Purposes (ESP), Applied Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, Phonetics and Phonology, Translation Studies, and Theology and Religious Studies. She has coordinated and led a large number of research projects, demonstrating her expertise in various academic and scientific domains. Also, she has chaired numerous national and international colloquia and symposiums, demonstrating her prominent role in academic events.

Short biography

Radia Bouguebs is an Associate Professor in the English Department at the École Normale Supérieure “Assia Djebbar” Constantine 3, Algeria. She earned her PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Constantine 1 and has over 15 years of experience teaching English. Her teaching roles have encompassed a range of responsibilities, including courses and tutorials across various subjects, levels, and faculties. As a researcher, Dr. Bouguebs focuses on teacher education, innovative teaching methods, language skill development, language learning policies, and the integration of ICT in foreign language education. Her research has been presented at more than fifteen national and international conferences, facilitating valuable exchanges with colleagues from Algeria and abroad. Bouguebs’ scholarly work has been published in a variety of esteemed journals, including the Modern Journal of Language Teaching Methods (MJLTM), International Arab Journal of English for Specific Purposes (IAJESP), Journal of Studies in Language, Revue Traduction et Langues, and Revue des Sciences Humaines, Culture and Society (JSLCS), among others.

Short biography

Antony Hoyte-West is an interdisciplinary researcher focusing on linguistics, literature, and translation studies. A qualified translator and conference interpreter from several languages into his native English, he holds a doctorate in linguistics from the University of Silesia in Katowice and master’s degrees from the universities of St Andrews, Oxford, and Galway, as well as two diplomas in piano performance. He is the author of over 100 publications on various topics, a number of which are indexed in Scopus or Web of Science. He has presented his research at over 60 international conferences in 21 countries and is on the editorial or advisory boards of 8 peer-reviewed journals. He has been a visiting fellow at the Leibniz Centre for Educational Media (Braunschweig, Germany) and South West University “Neofit Rilski” (Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria), and has also completed temporary contracts at several Polish universities, including as an assistant professor (post-doc) at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.

Wagdi Rashad Ali Bin-Hady is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics at Hadhramout University, within the Faculty of Education, Humanities, and Applied Sciences in Socotra, Yemen. His research interests encompass communicative competence, AI-based learning, translation studies, and linguistic landscape analysis. Bin-Hady has authored numerous research papers published in Scopus and Web of Science journals and serves as a peer reviewer for several academic journals.

Nguyen Huu Chanh is currently working at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Health Sciences, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. He was the recipient of the prestigious Hessen State Scholarship in Germany. Nguyen's research interests revolve around various topics such as genre analysis, literary devices, morphology, translation, and English language teaching skills in the EDP/EAP teaching, learning and research practice.

Short biography

Sarnou Hanane is a full professor of sociolinguistics and applied linguistics in the Department of English at Mostaganem University. She is the head and designer of the MA program in Language and Communication, the PhD program(s) in Applied Linguistics and New Technologies (2017-2018, 2019-2020), and a PhD program designer of Digital Culture and Digital Humanities (2024-2025). Additionally, she currently leads the DSPM research laboratory. She serves as an associate editor and a reviewer for several good international research journals. Her research interests include, among other areas, educational technologies (EdTechs), information and communication technologies (ICTs), language and culture, intercultural communication, applied linguistics, and English Language Teaching/English for Specific Purposes (ELT/ESP). She has a passionate interest in contributing to various educational and research programs.

Short Biography 

Dr Oleksandr Kapranov is an associate professor in English linguistics at NLA University College (Norway). Having obtained his PhD from The University of Western Australia in Perth (WA), he taught English linguistics at a number of universities in Sweden and Norway. He was a post-doctoral fellow at The University of Bergen (Norway), where he conducted research on climate change discourse. His current interests involve academic discourse, academic writing, climate change discourse, cognitive linguistics, and psycholinguistics.
