About the Journal
The International Journal of Multilingualism and Languages for Specific Purposes (IJMLSP) is an international, double-blind, peer-reviewed, diamond open-access journal published by the University of Oran 2 Mohamed Ben Ahmed, Algeria.
IJMLSP provides an international forum for original research on multilingualism, Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP), specialized and professional communication, and related areas of applied linguistics, language education, discourse, translation, terminology, and language-mediated professional practices.
The journal welcomes theoretically informed, empirically grounded, and methodologically rigorous research addressing language practices in academic, professional, institutional, technological, and other specialized contexts.
The journal welcomes studies employing a broad range of rigorous methodological and analytical approaches, including:
Contributions are expected to demonstrate originality, methodological rigor, theoretical grounding, and clear empirical or conceptual significance. IJMLSP particularly encourages research that advances understanding of multilingual and specialized language practices across academic, professional, institutional, and international contexts.
The journal welcomes studies addressing cross-cultural and multilingual communication, knowledge transfer, language policy and planning in professional settings, specialized discourse, professional identity, international workplace communication, and emerging forms of digitally mediated professional discourse. IJMLSP publishes original research articles, review articles, theoretical and conceptual contributions, and selected scholarly reviews. The journal is published semi-annually.
