International Journal of Multilingualism and Languages for Specific Purposes

The International Journal of Multilingualism and Languages for Specific Purposes (IJMLSP) is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to advancing research on multilingual communication in Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP), with particular emphasis on higher education and professional environments.
The journal provides a scholarly platform for research examining how multilingual practices influence specialized communication, disciplinary discourse, and language education in professional fields. IJMLSP focuses on the linguistic, pedagogical, and institutional dimensions of multilingual LSP communication and aims to contribute to ongoing debates in applied linguistics, ESP/LSP studies, and multilingual education.
The journal welcomes empirical, theoretical, and corpus-based studies that investigate multilingual practices in specialized domains, including the teaching and learning of professional and academic language, discourse, and genre in disciplinary communication, and the ways language policy shapes multilingual higher education.
Particular attention is given to research exploring multilingual LSP pedagogy, discourse analysis of professional genres, needs analysis in specialized language education, curriculum development, and institutional language strategies in international academic and professional contexts.
IJMLSP encourages contributions that enhance understanding of how multilingual competence supports knowledge production, professional communication, and academic mobility across specialized fields such as business, law, healthcare, science, engineering, and academic research communication.
Through its focused scope, the journal seeks to strengthen international scholarship on multilingualism in specialized communication and LSP education.
