Transparency, Ethics, and Responsibility
1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the use of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies (ChatGPT, OpenAI) is transparent, ethical, and responsible in the creation, review, and publication of research at IJMLSP. We aim to foster advancement in academic research while preserving the integrity and credibility of the scholarly publishing process.
2. Use of GenAI in Manuscript Preparation
Authors may use GenAI tools for:
- Relevant Resources: Identifying themes or suggesting sources (to be adapted).
- Language enhancement: Grammar, structure, or style consistency.
- Idea generation: Brainstorming and exploring research models.
3. Ethical Considerations
- Transparency: Explicit disclosure of all AI tools used.
- Data privacy: Compliance with ethical standards (e.g., GDPR).
- Originality: AI must enhance, not replace, intellectual contribution.
4. Prohibited Uses
- Fabricating data, results, or citations.
- Producing false/misleading conclusions.
- Violating copyright or ethical standards.
5. GenAI Disclosure Statement
Authors must specify: The tools used, the role played by AI, and identify any AI-generated content. Failure to disclose may result in revision requests or retraction.
8. Authors’ Confirmations:
- AI was not used to derive scientific results or interpret core data.
- Authors bear full responsibility for accuracy and plagiarism-free work.
- AI tools do not meet criteria for authorship and will not be listed as an "author".
