As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Language Requirements

IJMLSP accepts submissions exclusively in English. Authors may choose either British or American English for their manuscript, provided there is consistency throughout the text. To assist with this, spell-check software set to the preferred English variant (either British or American) can be helpful. All submissions should meet a high standard of English, and it is strongly recommended that manuscripts be thoroughly proofread prior to submission.

Submission and Originality Requirements

IJMLSP considers manuscripts exclusively on the strict condition that they are submitted only to our journal. Manuscripts must not have been previously published, nor should they be under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere. Authors who fail to comply with this requirement will be responsible for any costs incurred by the journal, and their papers will not be published.

Contributions to IJMLSP must present original research. All submissions will undergo peer review at the discretion of the Editorial Office.

Types of Contributions

IJMLSP welcomes two types of contributions:

Research Articles (up to 10,000 words, or 12,000 for research articles), presenting original theoretical, empirical, or applied studies on multilingualism and Language for Specific Purposes. Submissions may address topics such as professional and academic communication, multilingual education, language policy, corpus-based studies, digital tools, and AI applications in LSP contexts.

Book Reviews and Reports (2,500–3,000 words), focusing on innovative and recent developments in the fields of Multilingualism and LSP.
