Copyright & Licensing Policy
Copyright Holder, License, and Third-Party Materials
1. Copyright Ownership
Authors who publish in IJMLSP agree to the following terms:
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International CC BY-NC 4.0, which allows others to:
Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format;
Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material.
The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms. Under the following terms:
- Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
- NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
All published articles are made available under a Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This license allows others to remix, adapt, and build upon the work for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source of publication. This approach enhances the accessibility and reach of our articles while safeguarding authors’ rights.
Accepted and submitted versions of manuscripts are also made openly accessible, ensuring that research findings are available to the public at all stages of the publication process. Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive, non-commercial distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (e.g., posting it to an institutional repository or including it in a book), provided that acknowledgment is given to its original publication in this journal.
Authors are further encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) before and during the submission process, as this can foster scholarly exchange and promote earlier and greater citation of the published work.
2. Open Access License
The journal publishes all articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) license:
This license permits the content to remain freely accessible for educational, research, and personal use while protecting the rights of authors and maintaining the integrity of scholarly work.
3. Third-Party Materials
Some content included in this journal may incorporate materials (e.g., images, figures, tables, or text) that are owned by third parties.
- License Applicability: The CC BY-NC 4.0 license applies only to materials created by the journal or its authors.
- Third-Party Restrictions: Materials originating from third parties may be subject to different terms. Users must obtain permission from the original copyright holder before copying or adapting such content.
- Proper Attribution: Users must provide appropriate credit, clearly indicate the source, and note any modifications when using third-party materials.
This ensures that all content remains legally compliant while maintaining open access for the journal’s own publications.
